Learn to Shred – Ski and Snowboard Lessons for the whole family:

Mammoth Mountain Ski and Snowboard School, consistently ranked among the nation’s best, offers a variety of lessons to elevate your winter adventure, regardless of age or skill level. When you stay at the Alpenhof Lodge, lessons are conveniently available nearby at all three Mammoth Mountain lodges: Main Lodge, Canyon Lodge, and Eagle Lodge. Here’s a breakdown to help you find the perfect fit:
Lessons for All Ages & Abilities:
- Private and Group Lessons: Choose the personalized guidance of a private instructor or the social atmosphere of a group setting. Both options are available for adults and children.
Lessons by Location:
- Closest to Alpenhof Lodge: Canyon Lodge Ski & Snowboard School (opening December 13th) offers group and private lessons for first-timers, beginners, intermediate, and advanced skiers and snowboarders ages 3 and up. They even have a special Lesson + Child Care Package for kiddos ages 3-4.
- Main Lodge: Opening on Mammoth Mountain’s opening day (November 15th), Main Lodge offers group lessons for beginners, intermediates, and advanced skiers and snowboarders of all ages (13+). Choose from two morning sessions or an afternoon session to fit your schedule.
Lessons for Kids:
Children ages 3-12 can participate in dedicated ski and snowboard lessons tailored to their age group.
- Ages 3-4: Morning and afternoon sessions are available, with an optional childcare add-on for added convenience.
- Ages 5-7 & 8-12: Full and half-day lessons are available to help them build confidence and progress on the slopes.
Booking Tips:
- All kids must be at least 3 years old and potty-trained.
- Lift tickets/season passes, equipment rentals, and a positive attitude are a must!
- Mammoth Mountain recommends booking lessons in advance to secure your spot.
